The romantic track has little novelty to offer.Īnother factor that stands out is the car, designed by famed automobile designer Dilip Chhabria, and the thrills that have been executed by action directors Kaushal-Moses. The only time the graph goes down is when the romantic portions take over. An overall stylishly-executed fare, the film entertains at most parts. A few dramatic scenes and the underwater sequence in the climax are simply superb. Of course, a Hindi film is incomplete without the mandatory song and dance routine and Taarzan The Wonder Car has that as well, with the new pair handling those portions effortlessly.ĭirectors Abbas-Mustan have handled a few sequences with aplomb. Now this aspect may seem far-fetched to those who choose not to believe in such cinema. It repairs itself, it fights, it reacts, it survives calamities? exactly like a Bollywood hero. For, the car in Taarzan The Wonder Car behaves like a super-hero. If the novel premise of the film is its USP, the very plot is also a downer.
Hindi moviegoers have so far witnessed icchadhari `snakes` /animals or ghosts seeking revenge, but a car taking evil-doers to task is indeed a novel experience. How the wonder car takes the villains to task, eliminating them one by one, forms the crux of the film.Ī storyline like the one in Taarzan The Wonder Car hasn?t been witnessed before. Raj finds a car in a junkyard and takes it upon himself to transform it into a macho machine. Kartar Singh owns a garage where Raj works. Devesh?s family thinks that he has died in an accident. When Devesh threatens to move court, the evil four, with the help of a corrupt police officer, kill him and along with his car, throw him in a lake. But without the knowledge of Devesh, they copy the design of the car and register it in their name. However, the four partners of the company disagree on certain terms and abort the deal. Devesh designs a swanky car, much ahead of its times, and goes to a company to fix a deal. Raj is the son of a car designer, Devesh. However, making the car behave like a human and adding the track of an`aatma` to the storyline may just look implausible to a section of hardcore Indian moviegoers. In that respect, Taarzan The Wonder Car is truly different. Yes, there has been a Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi and a Shatranj, but never has a car been projected as a hero.
At least someone has had the guts to swim against the tide and offer a genuinely hatke fare! ( Also read: `Taarzan` goes to Denmark)īut, of course, a concept like Taarzan The Wonder Car is alien for Indian moviegoers. Frankly, the efforts that have gone into the making of Taarzan The Wonder Car need to be lauded. The car does just about everything that a Hindi film hero would do, including punishing the evil-doers. Except, of course, the revenge seeker in Taarzan The Wonder Car is not a man, but a machine. Loosely based on Christine, Taarzan The Wonder Car falls in the same mould as a revenge film. ( Also read: The boy in the Wonder Car: Vatsal Seth) Films like The Car, Killer car, Maximum Overdrive, Killdozer and of course, the unforgettable Christine, have entertained millions of viewers worldwide. There have been a string of ?killer car? movies in Hollywood. But the star and `kalakaar` of Taarzan The Wonder Car is a car, which fights, feels, rejoices? in fact, behaves exactly like a human. Maybe PowerDVD/WinDVD can do it through there, too.Hell hath no fury? like a car scorned! The name Taarzan is generally associated with the legendary jungle hero. The Live! can't output AC-3, just passthrough.I had to wait all day until I got home (10pm) to post this message because I haven't quite memorized my password, yet.yay!įrom the link provided by Shokunen (thx): The decoder unit/amplifier has both optical (new to the DTT3500) and COAX SPDIF digital input as well as Creative's DIN connection. The DIN connection is revised from the DTT2500. Specifically it is now a six-channel DIN input and the same DIN connection can be configured to send a Dolby Digital stream from the Sound Blaster Live 5.1 to the DTT3500. This eliminates the need for y-cables or cable switching if you want to use the DTT3500 with the one of the Sound Blaster Live cards that only have a mini-jack digital output. I have not yet had a chance to try the Dolby Digital ability of the DIN connection with one of the 4760 boards but I expect that it will also work the same way (but only with 4 speaker DIN output). The decoder unit / amplifier also has two analog inputs.
